Camogli and Portofino are close in distance and far in emotional texture. Pairing them in one day creates contrast that makes both towns stronger.

Town	Signature mood
Camogli	Textured, local, maritime
Portofino	Curated, iconic, cinematic

Recommended sequence

Start in Camogli for grounded authenticity.
Transition after lunch while keeping timing buffer.
End in Portofino for sunset atmosphere.

Why it works

Local-to-iconic progression feels natural.
You avoid forcing Portofino into harsh midday windows.
The day ends on a visual crescendo.

Build your itinerary as an arc, not a checklist.

Closing

Two towns done deeply beat four towns done quickly.
